Basics, got my three year old female ds spayed a week ago and everything was fine up until a few days back when she stopped pooping. That was until a few hours back ( two days later ) that she pooped again, however, I noticed that there was a slight coating of blood on the stool, not an alarming amount, but still, I don’t know whether this is a cause for concern.

Additional details, she was prescribed Metacam, which I have been giving her once a day ( correct amount for a 3kg cat ) and I will admit that I have been indulging her in a few more treats than she’d usually have as well. Another additional point, I do feed wet food, Whiskas in gravy, but it’s been difficult to get her to drink actual water.

Is it possible that it’s the Metacam or constipation that has caused the blood ON the stool? Thank you for your time.

I'd say best to call the vet and consult with them.

I think it can be possibility if she was constipated and her stool was particularly hard to pasd and/or larger than usual.

Definitely in any case consult a vet.

Wishing your kitty all well:vibes::goodluck:
