Hi all,

15 year old tortoise shell cat has recently been getting blood in one eye and she's been shutting it more than other eye. Also noticed that she is having trouble walking and jumping, with her back legs seeming weak, and sometimes is quick shaky.

I know a vet visit is needed, but I'd appreciate any thoughts here beforehand.

Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to TCS! :wave3: I completely agree with Antonio65 Antonio65 that you should not delay a trip to the vet. Eye problems can also be a sign of an underlying health issue and since your cat is a senior there is a greater chance of developing some type of systemic illness. If for any reason you feel your vet is unsure about diagnosis or treatment I would suggest contacting a veterinary ophthalmology specialist.

Best of luck and please keep us posted on her progress. :alright:

I am with Antonio65 Antonio65 in that I am very concerned but don't want to speculate as it won't help anything. Absolutely to a vet, even an ER vet for a start if that is the quickest you can get to one.
