Blisters inside cat ear...

I need to see if anyone has experience this in with their cats at all... I just adopted my kitten 4 months old... day 3 and I see something that can only be explained as water blisters... has anyone ever seen this before? The vet has no clue what this is!
I've cleaned it and the ear looks better but in some places it looks like the skin has little holes... not sure if that makes sense.
Any suggestions or help I'd really appreciate it!

I know that food allergies will often show up in a cats ears, usually as a yeast infection but this could be some type of dermatitis. Do you know what he was eating before?
