Hi, recently noticed my cats paw seemed a litter dark. On further inspection I noticed there was some tough substance that has stuck to one of her nails. I cant tho it off without tearing out hair.
Does anybody know what this is? And how to get rid of it? She doesn’t seem to be in any pain or discomfort.
Any help would be hugely appreciated! 72FEE240-8B49-46D3-8C5D-E53409D709E2.jpeg A98BF880-A339-4E2D-AB5D-87AD92093E02.jpeg 50D56D2C-AFE2-463E-A255-FC6043F6143E.jpeg 1B0F5525-66A5-42EC-B526-019DFDE49A9F.jpeg

Is your cat indoors or outdoors? Could your cat have gotten into any sticky dark substance around the house? Is the black stuff just on that one claw? Have you tried rubbing the dark stuff with a damp washcloth to see if it comes off?

Hi, she’s an indoor cat. I cant find anything around the house which is the same substance. It’s just the one claw. I haven’t tried rubbing it off with a damp cloth but I sure will try it.
Thank you very much.
