Bird seed ??????

Is bird seed bad for cats?????
I feed birds in the morning.
I used to let my cat eat some.
She seems to like it.
I stopped because she had a hairball problem.
She's fine now, Temptations hairball is working good.
The other day I let her eat some of the birdseed.
Last night she threw up.
So is bird seed the cause??????

I feel birds as well...doves, finches, crows (of course, they don't eat birdseed) and I never let my cats eat seed. If your cat wants something crunchy, keep giving her treats of one sort or another.

I don’t think it is toxic but nothing they should be eating either and I suspect most cats would vomit after eating. I would keep it away from her and make sure that she is getting good nutritious cat food.
