Betty White passed away just short of turning 100. Along with her long career in show business she was an advocate for animals for many years. She not only helped shelters and rescues, she also was an advocate for wildlife conservation and helped fundraise for zoos.

Sad. She had a long and wonderful life, with a world full of fans.

She was cherished and admired by all. Her love of animals spoke for itself, a true humanitarian in every sense of the word.

So close to 100! It sounds like it was unexpected and hopefully that means she was spared a long and drawn out passing. Which makes it a gift to her really.

My mom gave me a Golden Girls tshirt for Christmas and I wore it yesterday. I’ll probably wear it on her birthday in a few weeks too. Seems appropriate.

Saturday Night Live is having a tribute for Betty White tonight.

They are going forward with a one night only documentary planned for her 100th birthday. It is in theaters. They are changing the name. It was originally Betty White: 100 Years Young, it is now called Betty White: A Celebration.
