My 10 week old kitten is currently on her 5th day of clavamox and 3rd day of baytril for aspiration pnuemonia. The pneumonia was actually worsening even though she was on clavamox, so my vet added baytril. She weighs 2 lbs, translated roughly to around 0.9 kg. I've heard of the rare yet devastating side effects of baytril, including blindness in cats. I did some research and learned that baytril should only be given 5mg/kg...The vet prescribed us with 22.7mg tablets and told us to give her 1/4 tablet every 24 hours with food. 1/4 tablet equates to 5.7 mg.....which is over the recommended dosage for cats. So my question is, do I continue to give her 1/4 of this tablet while putting her at risk or would it make more sense to lower the dosage instead to 1/5 of a tablet? If I'm doing the math wrong, please feel free to correct me as well! I'm just really worried for her health

Correction; it's over the recommended dosage for my kitten, since she is not 1kg.
