Avocados

Hey, just wondering if anyone else has cat has a thing for avocados? Usually mine will play with the skin or nut for hours but today I walked in on an avocado bitten with like 1/3 missing. Only my cat was home so now he’s eating ones that haven’t even been opened.

Mine doesn’t care for avocados, not even a bit curious. but she’ll eat grapes.
I’ve read that avocados can cause upset tummy’s and possibly constipation if too much but nothing majorly concerning it seems. Though it’s really not recommended to be a snack of choice or anything...

Both avocados and grapes are on the ASPCA's list of foods to not feed to pets, though neither specifically list cats: People Foods to Avoid Feeding Your Pets

One of my cats ignored a persimmon that was on the counter for a week before deciding to push it off the counter and chew on

I'd keep all food off the counter if possible since you never know when a cat might decide to eat something.
