Hi. There appears to be a big increase in avian flu in London and my cat isn't outdoors but we take her outside with a leash. We have a garden and some grass and I was thinking of this is fine? She likes to sniff everything and roll around. There are wild birds like pigeons and some small birds that we sometimes see in the garden

Hi!
From what I'm seeing it can be transmissible to cats. Even if this only occurs if the cat actually eats a sick bird, I think I'd be extra careful and not go out until later on.

Thanks for the reply. Thankfully there was no birds or dead birds around. I got a bit worried because I don't know how it is transmitted. I have just purchased cat backpack
