We have a kitten at Christmas this year for the first time in many years. We usually use an artificial tree which our elderly cats had no interest in- but this little guy (he will be 4 months old soon) chews everything. I worry about him eating the plastic bits of the artificial tree, so we were thinking about getting a birch this year. We’ve wanted to do this for a few years anyways and since there would be no spills for him to get I though it would be a good idea. I’ve looked online but can’t find too much info on whether him nibbling a branch would cause him issue. I’m planning to put dishes of orange peels around the base to generally deter him as well. Any input on this? I definitely don’t want to do anything that will cause him any harm whatsoever
