Anyone a fan of The Sims?

Anyone who's feeling nostalgic or is just tired of The Sims 3 (even though it's only a month before The Sims 4 comes out), EA has "generously" released The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection free for redemption on Origin, for anyone who didn't pay for all of the game and expansions several years ago:

Always wanted to try the Sims, but I cannot in good conscience support EA.

I only supported them once to buy The Sims 2 Pets, and that was just so I could chip in a sale to say "moar pets, all the pets please". You didn't hear this from me, but you don't have to support them.

 

Also, it's such a time suck. I might play some today now that it's in my head but I've got other stuff to do... it's one of those games where you don't just end a round and walk away. You could play through an entire generation of a family and look at the clock to realize it's been 18 hours since you last got up to go to the bathroom and you're also starving and dehydrated.
