Addi Meets A Gator

So backstory: I'm watching TV and I notice a figure moving around the outside of my window. I head out to investigate and turns out it's one of the maintenance guys at my complex hovering around where the a/c units are. I look down and see this:




Yes I live in Florida

The maintenance guy tells me that someone is on the way to relocate this thing and then leaves

It soon became apparent that no one was coming. I call the police since I was told that they do the dispatching for animal control for the county I reside in. I explain to the officer that there's a five foot alligator just outside my apartment window on the first floor and his response was "let nature take it's course"

So, I go inside to do just that. By this time the gator moved over to the sliding glass doors by the bedroom. I called Addi over to show her the gator and this was her reaction:

A short while later this thing gets up and moves and I was stunned but Addi's reaction was hilarious!

I dont know how you guys live with them.

So the gator has learnt its ok to come right to your door?

Addi would be a lovely snack.

Oh wow! I didn't realise they could climb right up to your house like that.
I visited Florida a couple of years ago and the gators put me off visiting the Everglades, so I only saw them from the side of the road.

Yikes! Did it end up in the pool? Looks like it went over the edge of something. What a brave Addi. I was worried it would charge the glass to go after her!
