From the packaging, it looks like Acana dry kibble has raw meat ingredients. Can anyone verify this? Their website also 8ndicates that, unless I am misreading it.
The pet food store I got it from gave me a full bag of Acana and of Worlds Best Litter free for adopting my cat from a shelter, a generous welcome package ♡. I contacted them, their answer is that "Acana cat kibble is cooked. Acana uses fresh raw meat when making their food. While it is cooked at a lower temperature than many kibbles, it is not a raw product." That helps clear up my confusion
Directly from the source, Acana emailed me back with this reply "The reference to raw meat would be the ingredients used in the kibble. All of our kibble goes through an extrusion process which cooks our ingredients gently in their own juices with steam to ensure maximum flavor potential. Our process typically cooks at temperatures between 90-115 degrees Celsius."
