lf you think that your reflexes are faster, or even as quick as those of a cat - think again!
My cat Bretten and l have this fun routine when l go to the washroom. When l'm "doing my thing"
(l know, sorry for the visual) he pokes his paw under the door and waits for me to touch it with something
and he grabs at it furiously.
Well, just now, we did the routine, except the waste can was empty. So rather than do the sensible thing
and grab a square of toilet paper that he could swish at, l decided l could use my finger lightly on the back
of his waiting paw, and l'd be quick enough to get it out of his way.
OMG! He's fast!!
My poor right-hand index finger has been ripped open in the time it took for me to say, "OUCH!"
I'll have to go for a tetanus booster tomorrow.
l was going to post pix of my mangled finger, with the offending cat in view. l thought it was cute
but on second thought, it may not go over well, so l'll use this post as a public service message
