There are always ridiculously overpriced items for rich people who want to waste their money. You can buy a $400 toothbrush, nothing special about it except the price. You can buy gold-embossed toilet paper for $250 a roll. Or a Tiffany tennis ball can for $1500. There's always something to help people who are overburdened with money to ease their burden :/.

Yikes! I bet I could make the same thing myself for cheaper. But, I do wonder about the safety of the tree. Besides the top being sharp as Thefiresidecat pointed out, I’d fear that a kitten or small cat could get their leg caught between the bars.

Not all cat trees are for scratching. Which is kind of counter productive since most cats want to scratch trees by nature... But if you've got a few thousand to spend on one maybe you don't mind it getting scratched up? :dunno:

It looks like some kind of medieval torture device to me. :eek:
