He is eating, pooping, playing and sleeping fine, but his ass is swollen.
He is a 6 week old male.
Maybe his anal glands need to be extracted?
I have to clean his tail and ass, when he poops his tail gets in the way he does not raise it like normal.

Any advice is appreciated. Tried Pumpkin but did not help. He poops ok but has a swollen ass.

Can you post a picture of his bottom?

In the meantime, I would apply a warm damp compress, and only clean his bottom with a warm damp cloth - no wipes, no soap, no alcohol. His bottom may be irritated. Apply a coating of petroleum jelly and reapply as needed. If it does not improve in a couple days I would see a vet.

Pictures:

I think he may need his anal glands extracted. I am taking him to the vet next week. I have been using dawn soap with warm water to keep him clean, he keeps pooping on his tail. But he is eating sleeping playing etc...

What a cutie! I think a vet visit is a good idea to see what the issue is. In the meantime, I still suggest a bit of vaseline to keep him from getting sore.

Let us know what the vet says!

Has he been treated for worms? My foster kittens butt did that after her first and second treatment.
