Some of you may know that one of my pet projects is as a fledge watch volunteer for the Peregrine Falcons that nest on the Clinical Sciences Building here at the University of Alberta.
I just wanted to report that after a month+ of incubation, we now have 3 new falcon chicks for 2010
The third egg hatched late Saturday/early Sunday, and all have been feeding well. Guess Ill be doing another fledge watch this year for sure woohoo!!!

That is awesome, congrats. I love birds of prey.

There has been a good sized raptor that I have had the pleasure of seeing up close as I walk down the driveway to my car. He/she was perched atop the chimney of the house next door. I have no idea what it is, but I'm guessing it is a species of hawk. I don't have a camera to take a picture.
