Hi! I'm Tarasgirl06, and I've just joined. To tell a little bit about us, we live in the beautiful Mojave Desert in California, and "we" is me, my soon-to-be-ex-husband, and nine cats, four chickens, rabbits everywhere, wood rats abounding, mice too!, lizards and snakes visiting, and more birds and insects than anyone could imagine! We live in a tiny community of about 2,000 people -- and 2,000,000 coyotes
. A lifelong cat advocate/rescuer, I moved here so that we would have space and security for our then-family of 21 cats; since my husband ultimatumized me, I have had to find safe sanctuary elsewhere for twelve of my beloved ones, as I will be moving to an urban location with its stupid quotas. The Twelve, as I refer to them, are indeed safe, and nine have been adopted into new loving homes, while the three are still in sanctuary. I am in continual contact with them via the sanctuary purrson; though I miss them TERRIBLY and if I could have one personal wish, it would be that this was not happening. Anyway, their wellbeing is top priority, and they are safe and loved. My nine, who of course are all spayed/neutered and indoors-only!, will go with me to our new location as soon as possible, perhaps at the end of the year or beginning of next year. I'm a freelance writer, and lifelong cat fanatic, having been born into a home where a cat already ruled. Love taking pictures of my beloveds, which hopefully will find their way onto this site as soon as I get that up and running! Looking forward to getting to know all of you fellow feline fanciers and sharing CAT STUFF! Tarasgirl06 and the Mojave Meower Power Brigade
Hi and welcome to TCS! I'm sorry for your circumstances, and that you had to find sanctuary for twelve of your babies
I'm sure there are better days ahead for you.

Thanks for the welcome and yes, I sure will miss the dez. It's been two and a half years of Paradise for me and mine -- although where I'm going, it's a real cat-friendly city with an official policy of TNR and in their library there is a CAT ROOM which is dedicated exclusively to cat books! It's rather famous, and has been written about in the media quite extensively...
You serve some really adorable cats there, but, er, if I'm not mistaken, is that a, uh, DOG???
Looks like you're almost as busy as I am, keeping 'em fed and happy...Nice to meet ya and hope to talk again soon. Purrz!
Some adorable fluffs there! Your beloved Max looks a lot like my beloved King Sunny-a-Cat, whom I served gladly for sixteen wonderful years before he went over the Bridge. I love all cats, it's true! from smallest to Siberian tigers, they're all "my" cats...as I was born and raised with cats, it's natural!
"Speedboat" is such a cute name for a cat...Looking forward to getting to know everyone on site and to putting up some pix eventually. Thanks again!
