Mitts seems to not want to squat anymore. He stands up when he pees. We have a covered box so our house isn't "peed on." But it seems odd to me, he squats to poo, he's healthy.

Has he been neutered?
Standing up is the typical position for spraying.
Otherwise, do not assume he is healthy, this could be the early signs of a UTI.

Gizmo sometimes 'sprays' over the side of the litterbox. This is odd since she is female.
Why do spayed females occasionally find a need to do this?
I thought that maybe it was because the litter wasn't clean enough, but it seems to make no difference.

Mitts was nuetered well over a year ago.
I noticed that Mitts looks a lot like Gizmo, so maybe they're freak long lost relatives!
He hasn't been doing this that long though, so maybe I'll take him to the vet just to make sure.
