my window screens! They've discoved they can climb them. They only do it if they see a bug or something outside, but it's becoming a problem. I looked up last night and Nova was half way up our screen door. It's starting to cause some stress on the screen and the screen is starting to gab on one side. If it gets any worse the cat's will be able to escape. Help!

Good luck

If you find a cure for this, let me know!
I have Harley & Davidson that love to do that, and have ruined my screen. Harley doesn't do that much anymore, but sometimes he will if he see's a bug. They know its wrong!!

Are you trimming their claws? If not, that might help. If you're already doing that, I'm not sure!

I have trimmed their claws, but maybe I need to go shorter. I'm always paranoid I'm going to go too deep even though their claws are clear and you can see the quick. I guess I'll try that. Thanks for stating the obvious for me, I didn't even think of that.

If short nail trimming doesn't work, try softpaws, you could also try replacing the screens with pet screen you can get at Lowe's or Home Depot, it looks the same, but it's tougher stuff.

Soft paws would be good, but you could also try putting some sticky tape on parts of the screen. Maybe after a few times of touching that they'll leave the screen alone.
