And it feels so weird! I'm picking up my (*shudder*) retainers after school.

Horrible quality picture, but oh well.

Congrats for making it through - I wore them for over three years more than 25 years ago, and oh my goodness the hardware I had in my mouth! They make them SO much lighter and smaller than they used to - I had the ones that wrapped around each tooth individually, and they hurt SO much to have on!

Now you can smile pretty!!

Nuh uh...might give me away!
Congrats!
My mom and I both had them for around two years, although she got hers about a year after I got mine off. I now have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth, which makes flossing a fun time.

Make sure you wear your retainer as they tell you to!!
My teeth move really fast, i got my bracess off a year ago, and after 2 hrs of having my bracess off waiting for the retainer my bottom tooth moved!

Aahhh! The slimy feeling of newly braces-less teeth. I remember it well.

Do wear your retainers (forever). I've had my braces off for 10 years (geez, I'm getting old) and my retainers won't fit in my mouth, try as I might.

Well, for the first week I wear them all the time except when I eat. After that, I only wear them at night for a year.
Mine look like this:

WEAR YOUR RETAINERS! I can't stress that enough. I was the only one of my friends to wear them after braces, and my teeth are the only teeth that still look good!

Congradulations on having your braces out sweetie!!! That's great news! Also- you definitely lucked out with the clear retainers!!! They're soo much nicer than the metal ones- and easier to hide
. You're gonna have a beautiful smile when all of this is over!!!!
