For thoroughly enjoying my own cooking.
It's been raining and I've had a hankering for some soup.

Lacking any stewing meat, I browned a pound of lean ground beef with garlic and onion, threw it into the crock pot with 3 large red potatoes, more onion, more garlic, half a pound of baby carrots, hald a pound of sugar snap peas, a bay leaf and a sprig of fresh basil.

I'm in soup heaven.

But I always feel so bad for enjoying my own thrown together meals so darned much.

Should I join some sort of support group?

No..No..No! That's the best kind of cooking! And it really makes you feel good when something comes together so well!

That sounds DELICIOUS
You cook just like I do
I have great difficulty following a recipe - I tried to make oatmeal cookies from a recipe yesterday, and almost succeeded, except for using raw sugar, adding some buttermilk and maple syrup, and of course, extra walnuts, and then ginger, and, oh, yeah, had to add lots of coconut flakes...

Of course you shouldn't feel bad. Consider yourself one of those lucky creative folks who could be abandoned on an island and make coconut and mussels somehow taste good together

Hmm add some yellow or red curry powder and some rice, throw in some veggies and it will taste wonderful!

Nothing to feel guilty about. It sounds like a tasty, nutritious meal to me. I love making 15 bean soup when it starts to cool off. It is wonderful with some cornbread and iced tea. Gotta stop and get some sausage today, I think I will make some this weekend.
Thanks for getting me started on my autumn rituals!

You should feel guilty because you didn't invite the rest of us to enjoy your delicious soup.
Homemade cooking is best (unless I burn it - but that is another story).
