I'm going to make a cake for my mom's birthday. I have rectangular and circle pans. i dont want to go too crazy on the prices, but do you have any NICE, PRETTY, CREATIVE ideas???

this one isn't 'pretty', but it's delicious!
key lime chess cake
ingredients:
crust:
1 butter recipe cake mix
1 stick butter
1 egg
mix these together & press into a 9x13 pan like a pie crust.
filling:
8 oz. cream cheese
3 eggs
1/2 cup key lime juice*
1 box powdered sugar
*[nellie & joe's is the best - found w/the mixers in the liquor section]
mix in a mixer until smooth & pour into the crust. bake at 325 fahrenheit for 45-60 minutes or until golden brown.
