Hi everyone! You guys might not remember me since I haven't posting all that frequently, but my rescue kitten Lusa and my elderly dog Stockey are getting along quite well. I had real concerns since I didn't think Stockey would accept her (he wasn't socialized with cats by his former owners as far as I knew).
Anyhow, they play together some and usually will nap together on the couch. Stockey puts up with her chewing his tail and being, well, a bit of a pest to him
It's a lot to ask of a dog his age, but he's being a good boy.
Lusa basically has the run of the house now except the basement when my husband and I are at work. It tooks some time for me to be comfortable that the house is reasonably kitten-proof. She has a "kitty condo" in the upstairs bedroom to hang out in when we're working.
When Lusa's not playing or sleeping on my lap, she watches TV. Football and nature shows are her favorites.
