Hi everyone.
I went to the doctors today. I'm got a due date this time. Its March 6. So the first doctor was right 15 weeks. So I remembered to ask alot of my questions but I forgot to ask about what medicine is safe to take while I'm pregnant. I have a horrible headache and every place I look says something different. My parents have been in bed since 7 so I cant ask my mom. But I have got to take something for it. My nose is all stopped up too.
I threw up 4 times today.
I'm miserable. I've also gained according to the doctors scale 5 lbs since the last time I got checked at the doctors. Which was 3 months ago when I had the flu. I'm starting to show and I hate it. Ive always been very proud of my flat stomach. I guess thats gone. John says he thinks I needed to gain weight anyways. He got in big trouble for that. Anyways what kinds of medicine is safe?

I have never been pregnant (well duh
) but here's a site what not to take..

Don't take:
Aspirin
• Don't take aspirin during the last 3 months of your pregnancy, unless your doctor tells you to. Aspirin can cause problems for your baby, or cause problems when you are in labor.

Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
• Like aspirin, it may cause problems during the last 3 months of pregnancy and when you are in labor.

Products like herbs, minerals, amino acids
• No one is sure if these are safe for pregnant women, so it's best not to use them. Even some "natural" products may not be good for women who are pregnant or nursing.

Vitamins
Women who are pregnant should not take regular vitamins. They can contain doses that are too high.
Ask about special vitamins for pregnant women that can help keep you and your baby healthy

however, I am not sure what medicines are safe..I would ask your doctor to be on the safe side.
and I am not sure about this but I have heard you are not supposed to have caffeine while you're pregnant. don't quote me on that, though.

Yeah the doctor told me no caffeine. I about cried.
I really did. I was really embarrased that I was getting upset over caffiene. She just said that she understood and that I shouldnt feel that way about getting upset about stupid things. It's normal. But God I feel like I have a PMS all day long forever. I'm go from happy to mad to crying my eyes out at the drop of a hat. Its crazy.

Tylenol should be safe
Feel better soon sweetie!
Also- call your 24 hour pharmacist (Walgreens is 24 hours ususally). Your pharmacist went to college just as long as your doc and is trained to answer questions like that- they can definitely give you some great advice on pregnancy and what you can/can't take! Good luck!

aww..
I know chocolate has caffeine of course soda and coffee and tea. you can get caffeine free sodas. I know they have caffeine free Coke/Diet Coke. I know it tastes blah, but atleast it's something to drink.
I don't think 7-up has caffeine..just get de-caffinated coffee if you are a coffee drinker and de-caffienated tea if you are a tea drinker. I hope you are feeling better soon!

Tylenol and Sudifed are what I was told were safe to take during pg.You're all stopped up because of the extra blood flow in your body getting ready for the baby.
Don't take asprin,Aleve. As for pop, you can drink caffeine free pop such as Sprite, and etc.
You can always call your Drs. office and ask a Nurse what is safe.
