Urgent Vibes needed

My poor Daughter, son-in-law and Grandson are going to the Vet at 5:30 there Basset hound is 13 and has had several things going on, he has been diabeticfor the last several months, and last night they said he was up all night panting, and his gums are very pale, so my son-in-law took him to the vet and she told him it could be internal bleeding, something to do with the disks in his back because he had surgary 3 years ago, or a few other things,she's a wonderful vet and when my son-in-law called she told them to come in at 5:30 she's going to show them the x-rays and whatever else, and I just don't think it's going to be good news, he's been through alot and the fact that he's 13, Oh I hope it's not terrible news, because they will just come undone, and there's nothing I can say to them, they won't want to put him to sleep I just can't imagne what they are feeling, I feel so sad for them.. I hope they can do what's best for him and if it's bad I know what that is, Can you all just say a prayer that they will be able to do whats right, my son-in-law would spend whatever it takes to try and help I know he would. I'm heart broken for them ...Thanks Everyone

I'm soo sorry to hear that! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I know how difficult it is to watch an animal you love and care for have its health deteroriate. (I love basset hounds!). I'm soo sorry this is happening...i am happy to hear though how much his family loves him and proviedes him with the best medical care. Sometimes though, even the best medical care will not always provide us with the outcome we hope for. I hope in their case the little guy will pull through. Keep us posted. I'm keeping your family in my prayers and sending lots of vibes!!

Not real good news, The vet thinks that he has a tumor on his kidney, or a kidney infection so she did blood work, the x-rays showed that the one kidney is not where it should be, say's the tumor if that's what it is could be pushing it up, she also said kidney tumors are rare, but even if it is an infection it's hard to clear up in a dog his age anyway let alone the fact that he's diabetic, He is in alot of pain so she gave him a shot and they will get the blood work back tomorrow, he can't keep water down, and if he can't eat they can't give him the Insulin he requires,that is not a good thing at all. I told my daughter I know it's hard but I can tell you that you simply cannot let him suffer,It's so hard not to think with your heart at a time like this, I don't think the outcome will be good tomorrow in anyway and of course the vet is not going to push them she just told them they would have to take him to a specialist for whatever they do if they think it's a tumor or tumors, so she's crying and there a mess and my heart is hurting for them right now, I will keep an update as soon as I know...Thanks for the Vibes and prayers they are very much appericated ..

I have a hound, too and just gave him a big hug..please give your daughter my deepest heartfelt sympathies. is there any chance we can see a picture of him if it's not too much to ask.

What an adorable baby! Sending tons of vibes and prayers for you and your family. It's so hard to make these kinds of decisions. Last July we had to have my husbands childhood dog Cricket pts b/c of many underlying health problems. She was 16 and my husband was 21. They had been together his whole life, and she had lived in our home for two years. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, even though we knew it was for the best. Bless her little heart, I know that she is happy now over the bridge. You all will definately be in my prayers tonight.

I'm sending my vibes your way and to your daughter and her husband. I pray that what is wrong with him is minor and can be fixed without pro-longed pain, and if it is something serious, I pray they will have the strength to do what is best for him.

I just talked to my Daughter now he is throwing up everthing, This is not going to be a good day I can feel it, My heart is achiing for them and I have cryed all morning so far, I can't imagne how they are feeling, they have never lost a dog, this is the first dog they have had as a family, they have just lost 1 kitty in 18 years and they were devestated. I just feel sick, I am no good at this. Why does it have to be so hard
