Well we came home with a month's worth of Feline Pine (Care of the wonderful rescue where we got Carl). He likes it, it absolutely has NO SMELL at all! I can flush it (when I scoop our the solids) but the urine is absorbed into the pellets (which look like rabbit food) and they dissolve. The dissolved pellets shift to the bottom and I just stir around the litter so that there are always a fresh layer of pellets at the top.

So far I like it, no real tracking since the pellets are so big, and there is absolutely no smell at all!

PPod is the litter name it is made by Healthy Pet ... It is weird to decribe but it works and smells awesome

I'm curious to know whether the P-pod litter tracks? It looks very good.

I use the Nature's Miracle ground corncob litter; there is a light citrus smell at first. The box is kept under the bathroom sink (it is a Twenties building with an odd sink design.) Gizmo knocks a little of it off the box since she is obsessively neat with paw-wiping; but nothing tracks out of the bathroom, there is no dust, and it's a little cheaper than the P-pod online.

I like the peapod and corncob since neither is a food product, unlike WBCL and some others.

Here are the conditions we are talking about:

~ We will have 1 cat, adult, medium, short haired.
~ Our apartment is 800 sq ft, and the litter box will be going in the dining room, only about 15 feet away from the living areas(open floor plan).
~ We have carpeted floors.
~ The litter box we are going to get will most likely be medium sized and covered with a matt in front.

My biggest worries:
~Odor, Odor, Odor!
Tidy Cats Multiple Cat Clumping litter is what I use. The name speaks for itself

I didn't vote because I'm personally not a fan of those litters. I use Arm & Hammer Super Scoop for my cats, and I use Swheat Scoop for my foster kittens. Arm & Hammer Super Scoop is awesome on odors- so I love that about that product, it also clumps really well. I dislike Swheat Scoop in the sense that it does not do much to cover up odor- however, I use it because it is all natural...and kittens have a tendency to be curious and "taste" the kitty litter sometimes. It's not worth chancing it. I stick to all natural products for my foster kittens for that reason, Swheat Scoop is my favorite out of the ones i've tried- it's also dust free. Good luck whatever you choose!

I'm actually in the process of finding a new litter, I currently use Premium Choice, you can find it at Pets Supplies Plus or a feed store, but I'm not too impressed with the odor control, plus the clumps have a tendency to break apart
I have Tidy cats Multi-Cat scoopable and Scoop Away in 2 litter boxes each right now, and the cats are using them both, but I really am not liking the very perfumey smell of the Scoop Away
Tidy Cats is getting a big thumbs up though, from me and the kits. Next to try is Fresh Step, then I want to try Petsmart's brand Exquisicat, and Arm & Hammer, that seems to be a popular choice around here. I'm sure I'll find a couple others to experiment with too
