That's exactly what my 6-year-old niece, Kaleigh, asked me this weekend while I was babysitting. She loves cats and has accompanied me to our main foster home a number of times to help. I'd be happy to oblige, but I'm guessing I should run this by her parents first!
My brother and SIL recently lost their cat and dog to old age within a month of each and are still coping with this, so it's not quite the right time yet. I do know they'd like to eventually adopt a kitten and puppy at the same time. At least they know who to come to for the kitten!

I told Kaleigh, when the time was right she and her mommy and daddy and little brother could come and meet all the kitties and decide which one would be best for their family. That seem to make her happy. At least for now!

Yeah, it was very cute, but it also shows that she's smart enough to know how to get Aunt Eileen to do her dirty work.
