I have a persian with ringworm and was thinking of trying fungrx for pets. My cat has a very sensitive stomach and vomits easily. How does fungrx for pets work and if it is taken internally, can a cat with a sensitive stomach keep the stuff down?

I've got ringworm going on right now with 5 foster kittens, it's not an easy problem to deal with. If your cat has a sensitive stomach you can get prescription shampoo from the vet and bathe her 2x a week for 8 weeks. You will also need to frequently was bedding and have the carpets cleaned.

Ringworm in itself is horrible to treat. I treated my cats with Conofite cream 1x a day, Fulvicin liquid 1x a day, and anti-fungal baths after the 20 days of treatment. My suggestion is to talk to your vet. Ringworm is much easier to treat with a vet's guidance, and long-term, is cheaper to treat with the vet's guidance.

I have never heard of fungrx, so perhaps make a vet appt. & talk to the vet about it?

I found this stuff to be better than Fungrx (see link). http://petsbestrx.com/PetRingworm/
I tried the Ringworm Pack for Cats and it worked within 2 days (both on myself and my kitten), and it took 7 days to be completely gone -- note, I did clean and vacuum my home every single day (cleaned with a 1:10 bleach/water mixture, and remember to throw away your vacuum cleaner bag after each use).

So you used this stuff on yourself also? I just had a small patch come up under my arm this morning. Honey (our new kitten of 3 weeks) hasn't shown any sign of ringworm, but I noticed our 2.5 year old pup had a spot on his leg last night. The vet never tested her for RW (guess he was more worried about her eye problem).

I'm concluding that I'm going to have to get 3 different medications (1 for kitten and kitty, 1 for puppy, and 1 for me). Yet something else to suck the $ right out of my pocket.

Yes, I've used it on myself and my kitten. After trying an OTC cream for several weeks and not seeing any improvement, I tried this gel and it only took 1 week for us both to be ringworm free (but, it could take longer on some)! I applied the gel twice a day to the spots on my kitten's ear and my arm. I started seeing improvements within 1 day on the kitten. And, you can use this on your puppy too. Neither kitten nor myself had any adverse effects to the gel.

I ordered the sulfinex cream and it worked great. Hopefully my persian will be healed soon. Really appreciate the recommendation.
