My neutered male cat, 2 1/2 years old, has a thin (almost like water), clear discharge from his nose, mainly when he purrs or is resting/happy. He has had it for quite awhile now and I am curious as to what it might be.
For instance, he will crawl up and lay on me at night to sleep and it will feel it drip a few drops. No smell to it or anything, just odd!
Has anyone else ever had anything like this?

I thought that at first too, but ithas been going on for over a year now. At least. I only really noticed it when he would crawl up on top of me to sleep, or when he was near my head and then it would drip a few drops (I never let him hang around on me to drip a lot!).
He does not seem sick or anything, just a 'nose drip'.

You could call a vet and find out. I got my boy when he was about 3 months old. He would sneeze sometimes too though. He would come up to me in the morning while I was still laying in bed and would sneeze right in my face! I think it was a conspiracy! LOL!

I'm wondering if you ever found out what it was?

Ferris gets a little clear discharge from his nose once in a while, but doesn't sneeze, has clear eyes, no mucus and no coughing. Just a little bit of a runny nose, not enough to be a problem with his breathing.

He does snore when he sleeps, though, LOL.

Just wondering if I should worry...
