Hi all!
I just got back from shopping and I thought I'd share something with you. I was at Hobby Lobby to pick up some bunny toys (LOL! What else would I go there for?). I also found some great cat toys too! If you check out the area with the dried flower bouquet stuff, you can find big peacock feathers. Twelve feathers for only $7! The only pet store here that has them sells them for $2 a piece, and my kittens have nearly destroyed that one in only two weeks. Now I have cheap replacements. For my kittens, peacock feathers are even better than the Cat Dancer and keep their attention longer than the laser pointer.
They also had undyed pheasant feathers in the same section. They were close to a foot long. I've seen them recommended as good interactive toys in books and you could probably make homemade toys out of them if you're crafty.
Eve with a peacock feather.
And Lily. This is why the first feather is nearly destroyed after two weeks. She wraps it up, gnaws on it, and kicks at it!
