If it makes you feel better DH has told Bit that he was going to shave his name into his side. Bit just stared at him.

That's funny! My sister used to have a dog who would back off and avoid me whenever I was wearing glasses (I usually wear contacts) - so much for animals usually going my scent!

Hah...great boost for the self-esteem on the new look, eh?

One of my birds that passed in '05 used to freak out when I would have a towel on my head after getting out of the shower. I don't know if it was the extra height or what, but it never failed to make him go beserk.

I've never seen my husband's bare face and we have been together nearly 5 years. He sports a moustache and goatee. If he came out of the bathroom bare-faced, I'd probably puff up my tail and screech as well.

OMG me too. My bf shaved off his facial hair once just to see what it would look like. I didn't recognize him at first.. it seriously took a minute for me to realize there wasn't an intruder in the house
You can bet I puffed up my tail and screeched!

Also turns out he looks about 10 years old without facial hair, but I won't tell him that. He has enough of a complex about being 32.

When I was living with an former boyfriend, I woke up from a nap when he came in and said "which do you like better?" He had shaved half of his beard off and showed me his left profile and his right profile. I'm not sure what he would have done if I had said the side with the beard.

Movin' on up!
I once had a cat, who freaked, when I had hot rollers in my hair and a dog, who didn't like people wearing hats.
