Our cat and kitten play but I'm not sure the signs to know when they are playing or if they are fighting....how do you know? I figured that the older cat with let the younger one know when she's had enough and I've hard one of them squeal (im assuming the kitten) but I'm just not sure if they wil figure it out, or what.......

Thanks,

You'll know if the sound level gets a LOT higher fast, and if fur starts appearing in chunks. But don't worry, from the sound of it, it should be fine.

Im going through that right now with my 2 cats. Usually, i would say break it up with a pillow if it gets heated, then seperate them for awhile.
We noticed that recently that cats make alot of noise if they are playing...at first i was upset because i thought that they hated each other. It's taking awhile, but we have gotten to a place where they can get along- and we can even leave them at home together.

phew!

We have been leaving them out for the past few days and it's actually gotten better, the older cat will actually get our kitten to play with her. I think(i hope) they will be fine, no fur laying on the ground yet. They seem to play for a bit and then hang out, the little ones knew favorite spot is the back of the couch. I wish i knew how to post pics so you could see her....She is soooo cute!!!

i've noticed that, with my two, when they're playing, they don't make any vocal noises. at all. once in a blue moon, i'll hear a hiss or a low growl, and the other one backs off (usually fighting over a fresh batch of catnip
)

glad they're getting along better!
