I got one kitten on monday (Bandit) and the other i picked up on thursday (Gizmo). Bandit is extremely playful and 14 weeks old and Gizmo is not playful and he is 8 weeks old. Whenever Bandit tries to play with Gizmo, Gizmo hisses and growls at him. Gizmo also hides under my bed at night. What should i do to make Gizmo more comfortable?

He's frightened of Bandit and lost in your place. Keep him in your room for a couple of weeks til he feels more secure, and if you want to let him out daily to explore, etc., put Bandit someplace else long enough so Gizmo has a chance to see he's 'alone' and safe out there. They'll still pick up each other's scent and will still playfight, etc. in time, but G's still just too young to handle it.

I was affraid of the same thing.I have had Corwin (16 weeks old) for about a month and then I adopted Lilly (12 weeks) on Friday Sept.8.Lilly would NOT do a thing but lay around. She would hiss at Corwin at first. But, now both are close and sleep together.
Just be patient.......it will work out.
