How can I tell what breed(s) my cats are?

Gizmo and Cassidy are obviously Manx. That's easy. I have to other cats and I'm just curious as to what breed(s) they may be.

Buddy is a blond/cream color. Short hair. He has very faint stripes. He also has extra toes. Polydactyl?

Misty has medium length hair. She is black with some brown "under fur". Her feet are white and she has white under her chin.

Any thoughs would be helpful. Thanks!

Unless you know who the parents are, or they have really distinct pure breed features, you will never know. Color doesn't play a very big role in determining the breed. You can post pictures if you like.

I don't know if your Manx cats are pedigreed, or if you have cats with no tails and are making an assumption. Cats who have no tails have a tailless gene, but are not necessarily Manx. There are at least three other purebreeds which have no tails: Japanese Bobtail, American Bobtail, and Pixibobs.
