Hello Fellow Cat-a-Holics!

Greetings all! I'm SO glad I found this group!! It's so nice to find people who actually understand my love for my babies . I have no children, so they truly are my kids.
Firstly, I'd like to apologize if any of you find a random post from me. I was a bit confused on how to start a new thread, find the forums, etc. but now I think I'm pretty set!!

Well, let me introduce myself:
I'm Teena. I've been with my partner for ten years now, and we live in the Adirondacks, NYS. We have four cats...

Zelda: My first baby. I got her 10 years ago from the SPCA, when she was about 2ish. She's very tiny, petite, and is Alpha cat. She's REALLY Alpha!

Moon: She's about 5ish. Again, an SPCA baby. She was a kitten when we got her, and she was originally a present for my partner, but she attached herself to me, and is my baby.

Chango: Poor baby Chango! He's about 4 now. One day we heard a meowing coming from our garage, and out he came after tempted with milk and tuna. He was a little older kitten, but clearly abandoned. He was literally skin and bones, so much I was afraid to pick him up thinking I'd hurt him. He's still skittish, but is such a sweet baby. He just had a cystotomy and urethrostomy 3 wks ago and is doing wonderfully!

Pi: He's about 2 years old. Another stray. Today a friend was over, and he came and jumped on me. I hugged him, and my friend said "He's my little slice of heaven" very sarcastically. I had no clue what she was talking about and then I realized every time I hug him I say "You're my little angel, send down from heaven above".

I love talking about my babies, and love hearing about everyone elses, so I'm very excited to talk to you all!!!

ps... can anyone tell me if I'm able to make a 'signature' that automatically is added to every post I do? Thank you!!!

Hi Teena, and welcome to TCS

What a great bunch of kitties you have there, and bless you and your partner for rescuing so many babies in need!

That's a really pretty signature! You are able to post a signature when you have 5 posts, and have been a member for 24 hours. To insert the picture, click on "user CP" in the upper left corner of the screen. On the left side of the new window, you will see a list of options, click on "edit signature". That will bring up a window where you can insert your picture using the "image tags" that you apparently used in your second post. After you do that, click on "save signature", and viola! You have a sig that shows up every time you post

If you have any other questions, I would be happy to help. Just click on my username, and send me a private message. There is also a lot of information in the TCS support/announcements forum.

Again, welcome to TCS, and we look forward to learning more about you and your furfamily!

Thank you so much for the info and the welcome!
Well, I can tell you we didn't originally want 4 cats, but.... Now though, we've made a pact (like we did after the third cat... ) that we will help find homes for any other strays we find, not keep them ourselves. I want to be sure we can take care of them properly, as I'm sure everyone knows, they're not exactly cheap little critters!

Jin-Jin is adorable! I LOVE the hat!!! I know I said it before, but I'm so happy I found a place where people actually WANT to see my kitty pics! When I show them to friends I can actually see their eyes glassing over from boredom!!

Right now the circling is beginning. It's 7:30 and all the babies are walking in and out of the bedroom, making sure I'm noticing that they're here and haven't been fed yet. Because, as we all know... humans tend to 'forget' that, so they need to remind us!!!!

LOVE your cat... Don't Declaw!!!

Hi Teena and family:

THANKS from the bottom of my heart for rescuing, and for giving such good and loving care to cats and kittens! I've loved and lived with cats all my life, and "my" current 9, all rescues, indoor-only, spayed/neutered and SPOILED, are the lights of my life, too -- it's all about CATS! No kids here, either -- don't want any, thanks -- and me and my 9 are soon to relocate back to the city from our desert palace because my husband is divorcing me (ANGRY). Twelve of my beloved furzles are now in sanctuary in a kinder, gentler location, because of this -- the city has stupid quotas, and I had to find them sanctuary, which I did. They are in loving care, and nine have actually already been adopted into loving homes. Anyway, my 9 here with me range in age from 16+ down to 2 years, and I couldn't get along without 'em!

As far as sigtags are concerned, there's a post about that up on the boards, and you can see all of the members who do them, and talk to them about it. I'm new here, too -- only been here 3 days -- so I don't have one yet, or any pix up. It's a great site, and there's so much to do!
