I've just changed Poppy's litter tray and saw yellow worm like things in her stools! I only got her yesterday.
I know for a fact that the PDSA where I intend to take her for treatment hasn't any appointments until next week!
Is there anything I can do until I can get her seen? What precautions should I take?
I'm panicking now as I don't know the best course of action to take. The reason I go to the PDSA is because I'm on a low income.
They do have a surgery on a saturday for emergencies.. Do you think they would consider this problem as an emergency? I really don't know what to do
Any advice greatly appreciated
Thanks

Relax! It's probably tapeworms. They are gross but are not an emergency
As soon as you can get an appointment bring her in, describe to the vet what you saw in the stool, possibly bring a sample in and they will give her meds right there and usually one dose is all it takes. Make sure she is treated with Frontline or Advantage because they get tapeworms from ingesting a flea.
