I can't see very well out of my left eye - the screen is fuzzy and I'm seeing spots, which for me is the first sign of a migraine. I normally start feeling like utter poo by now as well, but I'm not. (Edit: I mean I'm feeling fine...)

I've just had some Coke to get my caffeine levels up.

I wonder if I should go home just in case it is a migraine...

Ok, I'm home... I don't get a numb hand!

My head feels fuzzy, and my neck is sore, and I have a bit of a headache coming on, but normally I'm crying like a baby by now, so hopefully it won't be too bad. This is certainly the first time I've been prepared for it and have been able to actually do things to lessen the severity.

I've just had some Excedrin Migraine which should help.

The kitties are pleased to see me

I have always heard that purring cats can help a migraine so get one or both of those kitties near your head and lie down. A few days before my sweet Bella died I had a bad earache I layed with my head against her and she started to purr after a while my earache went away and it really hurt.

I ended up in the ER last nite with my first ever migraine-- I really understand now when i meet people who suffer. The danged thing started out slowly and mostly a nuisance on Tuesday morning-- Tylenol was handling it fine I was just having to take a tylenol every 4 hours on the dot. By yesterday afternoon, I was crying and pacing nervously. I couldnt get a doctor on the phone for anything. Managed to drive home with my eyes losing focus on me, and managed to get into the local ER. They sent me to another hospital for a CT scan (which showed nothing they said) and sent me home at 3 am this morning with some fioricet. They had me on toradol (thank heavens for that stuff) and it kicked it fast. I just had to take my first fioricet about an hour ago as I could feel it coming back. Gotta make that appt to see a migraine dr.

These kids and their high pitched screams are killingme! Right now all the blinds are drawn tight and the lights are off. but the kids..... this is bad-- i totally understand now.

I hope you feel better soon.

MIGRAINES - eek! The best medicine for me has been Amerge - the headache can be two days old and Amerge will still kick it out in minutes, and I am still able to drive, compose letters, basically keep on living. Amerge is pricey but well worth it.
Amitya, I am sending {{{healing prayers and vibes}}} - I know that high pitched noises can be sheer TORTURE, and yet, life does go on - how can we stop it??? So, the only thing that can be done is for you to get better

I agree with the Amerge!!! It is expensive, but so worth it.(I get 4 pills for $20.00)
As for the kids and their screaming, is there any way you can go into a room by yourself for a bit?If not, then a hot relaxing bath after they go to bed helps too.
Good luck and I hope it goes away.
