OUCH!! You have my sympathy. I am nursing a skinned and bruised elbow from falling last night. (Gravel parking lot.)

Can we blame this on Bit?

Nope, we can blame Scratch for dragging the newspaper out of the recycle bin and me slipping on it. He has a huge paper fettish. I still love him though.

Oops! Too late!
You shouldn't make someone with cracked ribs laugh, Jana!

Sending lots of healing vibes, and hoping that 8-Bit and Scratch behave themselves while you are hurt.

2 to 3 months depending on how bad the crack is. The doctor said that the worst part of the pain should be done by the end of next week, but I may feel sharp pains for the next few months.

Yikes! Poor thing! Too bad you didn't teach Scratch how to put away the papers when he was done playing with them!

Sorry, I didn't mean to make you giggle!

Seriously, I hope it heals quickly and you get lots of nuzzles from the Scratch miser!

Oh no
Big hugs

Someone at my 'old livery yard' had 3 cracked ribs.

One reason for it. My 'old' horse kicked her and then chuked me off.
OMG, I felt so guilty

Thanks for the laughs all... I needed them today. The doctor said that I should be at home with my feet up, but I came into work anyway. My Mom is coming in from Alaska at the end of the month, and I don't want to waste my paid time off nursing a cracked rib.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
This is so painful, and I sure do empathize with you.
I've had a rib cracked twice and then cracked one myself from coughing so forcefully during a nasty case of bronchitis. You can't make a single move without feeling it. Just a little bitty tip that may help..if you need to cough, try holding a pillow and bracing against it. One of the unfortunate things about a cracked rib is, short of wrapping your rib cage, your Dr. really can't do anything about it , so you have to just wait it out and deal with it. Sure hope it's better very soon!
