Don't get me wrong..it's not that I wish I was back at work or anything...it's way too hot there...but I am bored to death spending all this time at home!!!
I know I should enjoy the time I have to relax and do nothing for what little time I have left before the baby comes, but I am just so bored.
I don't have the energy to do anything useful, like clean the house, etc....so all I do is watch TV, play on the computer, play with the cats, take a nap, eat, and then repeat the process.
I am constantly tired, even though I can't sleep well...you'd think as drained as I feel, I'd be able to sleep. I sleep better in the afternoon than I do at night.
I feel like I should be doing something productive, but when I think about it, I just don't feel like it. My energy level is 0.
I see things around me that need done....vacuuming, dusting, watering the plants, etc...and I just say, "maybe later" and then it doesn't get done.
I feel so lazy!!!!!!!!!!
I can't get comfortable either. I sit scrunched down in my chair, because otherwise my back hurts.
I should be using this time to get some things done around the house, that I won't have time to do after the baby is born, but I just can't get motivated!!!!
I am feeling very guilty about this!!!!
I am ready to have this baby not only to get myself back to normal, and feel better, but also to have something to do!!! (does that make sense??) At least taking care of the baby will make me feel useful again!!!
It gets lonely, too.

I just needed to get this off my chest...I am sure after the baby is born I will be thinking...man what was I complaining about, having all that time to myself???
I try to remind myself that this time is precious, because for the next 18 years, I won't have this time to myself...but it is hard to enjoy it right now. I just want this delivery over with!
I'm tired of looking like I have a big huge basketball under my shirt, no...make that a pillow....it is way to big for a basketball now...and I also worry about losing the weight after she is born, but I don't have the energy to exercise now. So I sit on my butt all day, and just feel the pounds adding on.
I can't even begin to imagine what my stomach will look like with all that extra skin, and no baby inside. I am terrified that after igive birth, I will never look the same.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest...it is so nice to have someone to talk to.

It is the pregnancy is all. Once Amber is born and you have rested, you will feel like a new woman and you will be able to get done all you need to. It is hard to move when you feel like you have a mountain growing inside of you, and the heat makes it even worse. You are due pretty soon aren't you? Just hang in there and try to rest when you can. Hugs (((((((())))))))))

Debby,

Everything will turn out a-ok, just like Hissy said!
So, right now, enjoy sitting around playing on the 'puter, snoozing, and playing with the cats!

As for weight, I'm sure you will loose all of it and then some -- lots of women who have babies look great after their baby is born, and I'm sure it will happen to you, too!
Maybe when you have energy, walk around your house a few times .... or when the baby is born, try some sit-ups.

*hugs* Kim

It turned out really good. I have sampled two kinds already and have lots of jars to store and give away.

You really will feel better after Amber arrives on the scene. Just try and relax for now.

You're getting antsy. It seems like you've been pregnant, forever and its never going to end. Been there, done that. Just wait, until you can see your feet, again!

The last few weeks are the worst. Been waiting and waiting and waiting - enough, already!! Kid, its time to come out!

Debby, I'm sure you'll be back to normal in no time at all once the baby is born!! and you'll turn into "SUPER MUMMY"!!!
Don't worry about getting back into shape after the birth -you'll get plenty of exercise running around after Amber!!
I hopr you start to feel better soon love, take it easy and try to enjoy having the time to slob out!!!

I'm laughing, Debby, because all of us moms have been there! You would trade anything to be able to stay at home and relax, but it really is boring! It really won't be long now. And pretty soon, you'll be wishing there were more hours in the day. Just hang in there.

Deb25 said it right. All of us mom's have been there, and all I can say is that it will pass soon. You have been pregnant for 9 months, and its to be expected that you are feeling miserable! Don't worry though, before you even know it, it will be over and Amber will be home.

As far as the weight, everyone is different, but you'll be amazed at how quickly you can bounce back. And all that skin shrinks!! Trust me! I've had 2, and my skin is back to normal. And one of my babies was 10 lbs!!!

When you get that finaly burst of energy, thats usually a sign that labor is coming, so once you feel the need to clean you better pack your bags!!! It'll be here soon, take advantage of the quiet time.

good luck.

Daniela: I was going to say the same thing! When you get the urge to actually clean, get ready to go!

Don't feel guilty. Think of it as resting up for the blessed event. The others are right, when you get that big burst of energy, you will soon be ready to go. Best of luck for an easy delivery! I'm sure you will be fine with all the good thoughts and prayers coming your way.

Debby, just try to focus on the blessings and not the negatives. That should help. Just picture little Amber being here and loving you. You are going to be a fantastic mom!

Yes, Debby, you better post between contractions so we can all help you along!! It'll keep your mind off of things too.

Seriously though, just keep posting here and we'll keep you occupied in these last few days!! I'm home all day long too, so if you want I'll PM you my number and we can chat by phone!!

Try to enjoy your quiet time. And...napping in the afternoon is actually preparing you for Amber because, you'll probably continue this routine together!

I know how you feel though, the last 2 weeks of my last preganancy were awful. All I could do was lie around all day and sleep. When I did walk, I had to literally lift my stomach up because it was so huge and heavy. I thought it would never end. You'll have ups and downs for the remainder of your pregnancy. Hang in there!!! We'll keep this thread going until your delivery to help you through!

As for the jam....I am making some on saturday for the first time in my life! Can't wait! My friend is coming over to teach me how. Kind of funny because I've always been on the receiving end. Now I can give some out (I hope!!!) So.....any takers? I will be making raspberry and blueberry jam. At your own risk though. This'll be coming from a jam making wannabe!!LOL

Debby - hugs ((((()))))

Oh, Debby, do I know where you're coming from!! But I know what's coming up too, and I can only envy you. The feel and smell of a newborn baby's cheek against yours is a preview of the joys of heaven! You'll be busy when your labor starts, but you won't want to go back to where you are now. Just think about that precious little lamb, if you can. The sinus congestion will soon go away.(I used a nasal spray; no one told me I couldn't. The doctors are much more strict now.) You will be able to cozy in with your husband soon without him getting kicked too, and you will be among the most blessed and overworked people in this world, a mommy. p.s It takes a little while for the tummy and skin to go back to normal. Don't worry about it right after the baby is born. It's not permanent! I had four babies, and it beats anything else I've done with my life!

Hi, Debby:

Think of it this way... your body is preparing for the big day by conserving energy... not to mention all the hormones and other body chemistry that's changing to prepare for the event... it's only natural to be resting at this point.

You are right about the life change where laying-on-the-couch time is going to be minimal. My two little goddaughters (18 mos and 4 years) have sure kept their parents traveling at high speed... Oddly enough, one day you'll look back on this time with a bit of nostalgia, LOL!
