Changes in eatting habits...

We just recently had our cat treated for the third time for feline acne, according to our vet. He breaks out in little scabs and irritations along his lips, but eats normally and acts normally. We've taken him when its gotten bad to get a steroid shot and some amoxi-drops. Its always cleared up and he's been fine.

Today we've noticed that he's eating less and sleeping more, one day after the shot. What I'm asking is if anyone else here has noticed a decrease in appetite and activity in the few days after a steroid shot. And at what point should we be worried enough to take him to the vet?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Frogsy does kitty eat out of plastic bowls? If so, you might want to toss those in the garbage and change to stainless steel or glass and see if that helps the acne problem.

Hissy: Yup that's a good point.

Stainless Steel is the best because its the less pourous (sp?)
And also make sure you wash the bowls very well every day.
