Just letting you all know! Hog Heaven rescue farm in Cochranton, PA is doing low cost male cat neutering during September and October. This is on a trial basis and will only continue if everyone follows the rules. Barn and feral cats must either be in a carrier or Hav-a-hart trap. You must call the week before for an appointment.
Neuters are $16. You can have them dewormed for an additional $4 and a distemper shot for an additional $8.
The number to call is (814) 425-1850

Hi!
I just wanted to add, there is another low cost spay/neuter program in the Philadelphia area. I just had my LuckyGirl spayed through them, and they did a fantastic job. You can't even see a mark on her belly at all!!!! Not even a scar! And the incision is so small, you have to really really look for it. The link to their site is: http://www.animalalliancepa.org/

They are the Alliance for Animals, but the Pa chapter of the organization. They do vaccinations, micro-chipping, spay/neuter, etc. And you can pick up your baby in a few hours....they also give you a list of your closest 24hour emergency vets, and how to care for them, what to watch for etc. The only down side is that the clinic usually takes place in a not so good neighborhood. Even at 10am I made sure to bring someone with me.... you can never be too safe. But the staff was very friendly and helpful, and you could tell that they were all involved because they genuinely care about animals, and controlling the animal population. Hope this helps someone!!!
