Ok Annie Rose is about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant now. Her nipples have gotten huge and pink and stick out. You can see them from across the room. When will she start to show? Also is there any way to tell how many kittens she will have? I havnt heard back from her breeder since I said something about the male not looking like a snowshoe or a siamese to me. I dont know what's up with her or what to do now. Here are a few pics of her some were taken today but none are over a week old I dont think.

Older ones

These 2 were taken today. My date is wrong on my camera obviously since its not 11/6/06. Iwas trying to get a pic showing how obvious her nipples are now. The second one you can see 2 of them very well. The first one you cant really see unless you zoom up and then you can see alot more.

they normally start to show at about 6 week's u may even feel them kicking around that time as well , as for knowing how many sometime's u can feel the bulge's of the kitten's but best thing to do is get a vet check up just to make sure everything is fine then they may be able to tell u roughly how many she may have with the breeder thing i wouldn't know as all my cat's have been stray's or unwanted good luck

Depends on how many they are carrying (no reliable method to determine that unless you x-ray) - if they are carrying 4 or less, they may not even show till 7-8 weeks - almost ready to be born.

On the other hand if carrying 5 or more they would show a little sooner.

I would NOT contact that breeder any more - you don't want to get into an argument about things and her possibly taking Annie for more breeding or demanding that SHE control the homes of the kittens. Keep quiet and spay/neuter everyone and find your own homes.

I still would tell the breeder that she lost the kittens and you had Annie spayed for health reasons if the breeder ever contacts you.

Yeah she is a very very skinny cat. She's actually gained 2 lbs since she came to live with me. She was only 4 lbs. Now she is almost 6 lbs. So I guess a little less then 2 lbs.

Ok Thanks. What is a good time to do an x-ray? My vet said she wanted to do one but didnt say when. Could you tell now how many are in there? I think I wont call her any more. I just thought she should know that Annie is pregnant. I dont know why.

And she is small in structure as well!
I dont think Annie is showing at all still. I mean she's gained weight but only enough to look like a normal thin cat not any pregnancy weight yet. My vet said she doesnt think she will have many.

Hopefully she will only have 2-3. I would not x-ray unless you think it may be a problem in delivery. Ask your vet if its necessary (other then to know how many are in there).

I usually guess about right at 7-8 weeks pregnant, you can tell a little better in feeling the kittens. If you mess around trying to feel kittens too early, you could cause the mother to abort. Why not just wait and see how many she has?

The vet only talked about the x ray after she got Annie's records from my parents vet. She had to have surgery about a year ago for hair balls. And the vet noticed something off. The vet just wrote in malformed uterus but no details. I guess he was assuming he would be her vet for a while. So my vet is trying to get into contact with the old vet to see if it is something to worry about or not. If they dont get back to her (its been over a week) she wants to do the x-ray.

Sounds like possible c-section might be needed. I agree then it would be a good idea on the x-raying for that purpose

Hope everything goes well and no complications.
