My cat has been battling a urinary track blockage and a bacterial infection for the last couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone has had an experience with this. Also i'm trying to find info about any grants or generous people that could help me with his vet bills. At this point any little bit helps. i was considering having him put to sleep since i'm not in the best financial spot but the vet said it would only be about nine hundred dollars and the outcome looked very good, knowing this i couldn't do it. However, fast forward 2/3 weeks and he is still very sick and the bill is close to 2,000 dollars. It's hard because he'll be fine for days playing and picking on my other cat and then he'll get sick and end up back at the vet. Any finanical help or advice would be greatly appreciated! I made a website for him please check it out http://www.freewebs.com/helptheo/
thanks megan

The Catsite.com does not stand behind any solicitation of funds that appears in the forums. Be very careful before you send any money; no matter how effective the plea is, check it out before opening your wallet.

Honestly, looking for money to help pay your vet bill online is just... tactless.

I do hope your cat gets better, but if you'd like advice and not just money, we're going to need more info. What treatments have been done, what kind of crystals are they even?

Perhaps someone in her area could direct her to programs that could help with her bills if she qualifies, instead of sending money; that would be just as helpful if this is legit.

They can help establish a line of credit for you to use at your vet's office.

Best of luck to you and to little Theo.
Whoops, thinking the same thing, I guess!

my cat tigrito is 3. he used to be the boss of him and gmork(m) who is 6. last year i got 3 kittens(2m and 1f). so now the 3 boys tease and pick on tigrito. can this be what causes the blockage, or does anyone think that it is soley based on diet. or do they pick on him because they know he is sicker and weaker?
i know it sounds like a mathmatical equation...
