update on my parent's dog

They took her to an ACCUPUNCTURE vet last week The vet decided to do some bloodwork on her because he didnt agree with what their regular vet had said... Anyways, On Thursday, my mom called & I guess Cricket has cushing's (sp?) disease, which is what is causing her muscle weakness & a number of other problems. So, they have put her on medication......
Anyways, that is the update..... not that I agree with what they are doing, but oh well...... my mom & dad are happy.

Tigger, I remember your earlier thread about this dog. I just wanted to mention that your parents might be having a really hard time realizing how bad off the dog is because they see him all the time. If you see the dog only occasionally, it's probably easier for you to notice changes and to recognize the signs that it's time to let go. Just my two cents.

Poor dog. I really hope it isn't suffering too much....maybe the medication will help.
