Kitten Litter box when to put in house

Right now I have a 5/6 week old kitten Osiris.... If I put the litter box in the house... sometmes he will use it...other times he goes on the floor...carpeting! So I had to confine him into my small bathroom... he is using the box in there so far with no accidents..how llong do I have to keep him in that bathroom before I can let him use the other boxes with the other cats??

maybe he will be one of these cat's who will not use another box that another cat has used or maybe try putting the box in the room that he spend's most of his time in then gradley as time goes on start moving it closer each day to the area that u want him to use good luck

At 5-6 weeks most kittens have just been using the litter box for about a week, so definitely confining him now is the way to teach him good manners. Like babies, they have less control at that age.

Be sure he is always confined after meals. Other times, when you let him loose to play with him, watch him closely so he doesn't make mistakes. And use a good enzyme cleaner to clean where he peed before, or he will smell it and pee again.
