My little foster baby STINKS!!! She's walked in her poo a few times, and I've tried wiping her with a damp cloth while holding her, and the end result is that she smells the same and I smell disgusting!!!!

Any suggestions for a 4 week old? Should I just persist with the damp cloth baths? She doesn't like being held for too long, so trying to wipe her is hard, then trying to dry her is even harder! I end up just hanging with her in front of a heater until she seems warm and dry

Trying to clean a kitten/cat with just a damp cloth when they really need soap is usless.

While the kitten is pretty young, I would have no problem with the occasional "bath" with a little mild soap (baby shampoo) and keep out of drafts and dry quickly - even if you need to put them in a carrier and hold a hair dryer near to dry. But if you use the hair dryer - put on low speed and use your hand to test how "hot" it gets when you get close - you don't want to burn the kitten.

I've washed kittens as young as 5-6 weeks old with no problems and no one getting sick.
