Just another question.... My dogs love yogurt and its good for their digestive system. Can cats have yogurt too? I buy plain non-fat yogurt. Just wondering if this is could or bad. Thanks.

For a once in awhile treat, it's okay. My cats get it in their "gravy" I make them once a week.

Plain yogurt can be good for kitties. If you can find one that isn't non-fat, that might even be better. I would definitely avoid flavored varieties or ones with much sugar. My vet has recommended yogurt in the past when Spot was having digestive issues. Some kitties are more sensitive than others, so watch for diarrhea, which can result in lactose-intolerant cats.

Plain non-fat yogurt is safe once in a while as a treat or when kitty is sick
. Just don't give you kitty too much, it may upset its stomach.

I have a dumb question. I personally don't like yoghurt but I thought it was all pretty much non-fat. I much prefer Haagen Das ice cream and I know that has fat.

SOme true and traditional yogurt is made with whole milk and or some cream ... Most yogurt in supermarkets is part skim ( aka low fat ) and skim because they get away with it...lol.. the traditional is no good for my tummy but YUMMY

The yogurt you buy is fine for kitty treats
My Buddy LOVES yogurt, but since I only buy the sugary, vanilla flavoured ones, he doesn't get it often.

Many cat foods, especially kitten foods, already have yogurt as one of the primary ingredients.

Drs. Foster and Smith (the one I feed right now) and Purina One kitten food are two that comes up on the top of my mind.
