Tarantulas are actually fairly delicate so they really should not be handled unless absolutely neccesary.
She's also a new world species, most of which have urticating hairs which they'll kick off at you, it's alot like getting angel hair fiberglass under the skin.
She is very docile though and doesn't startle easily.
She eats crickets and she get treats of miller moths in the summer.
Her color though is spectacular, a pale, dusty pink, but her terrarium substrate is red so her color is washed out in the pics.

So she is more of a look at but don't touch kind of pet.

Lloth only eats 2 (if I'm lucky 3) times a month, and she'll have anywhere from 3 to 5 large crickets.
Too bad I can't buy the miller moths, she's never once refused one of them.

She's BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could have one, but DH put his foot down.
Very cool!! Tarantulas are quite common around here.

So of course, the name was a given as soon as we decided we wanted to add a tarantula to our family.
She really is beautiful!
Scary and pretty all at the same time!
She is really pretty but you keep her over there cause I am not exactly a fan of spiders!
