Many may not know of Peter Brock, and I am personally not a car racing fan but this is truely a sad day for the nation.

Early reports suggest that the racing car driver was killed when his car ran into a tree in Western Australia. No more details at this time

what an awful week this is turning out to be for Australia

RIP Peter - A true champion

That is so sad
My only comforting thought is that they "died with their boots on" - it's how I tried to make sense of things when my nephew was murdered by gunshot and my brother was killed by a drunk driver running a red light. I've lost close friends to lengthy, painfull illnesses, too and for them, death came as a friend. Either way, it is so hard for the loved ones left behind and all I can say is "Godspeed, dear fellows" and "Condolences to all Australians on your sad TWO losses" What an awful week for you all

Ohhh man
I've never really been a racing fan, but everyone (in Australia) knows "Brocky". Two tragic deaths of popular prominet Aussie in a week is just horrible. Brocky seemed like an all round nice guy, and had a friendly disposition.

RIP Brocky

Yes it is a bad day indeed, I have had the pleasure over the last 15 years meeting Brocky at the Holden Dealership i worked at, the fellow was a true champ and a good bloke,he will be missed by all us petrol heads, long live his memory
